The Howard County Department of Citizen Services and the Commission on Disability Issues announced the winners on Oct. 6th at the of the 17th Annual Leadership Awards Program, which spotlights individuals and organizations who are change agents for full participation in community life for all.

Lisa Kawata joins the The Arc of Howard County
North Laurel resident Lisa Kawata has joined The Arc of Howard County as Volunteer Coordinator in the Resource Development department. A native of Howard County, Kawata has 22 years experience as a community journalist with Patuxent Publishing Co. and the Baltimore Sun.
