During the course of the year, there are many opportunities for members of the community to make in-kind donations to The Arc.

The annual Chocolate Ball includes a silent auction of items that have been donated by members of the community and local businesses. The Arc is always looking for restaurant certificates, vacation and travel packages, jewelry, electronic equipment and other items of value and interest.

Restaurants and catering companies donate luxurious desserts for the Chocolate Ball and compete for the People’s Choice award for favorite chocolate sweet.

During the annual Linen Drive in December, The Arc seeks new linens to replenish the residential homes for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Bath and kitchen towels, pillows and pillow cases, twin and double sheets, mattress pads and comforters are all welcome. They can be dropped off at The Arc headquarters, 11735 Homewood Road, Ellicott City, MD 21043.

In addition to in-kind donations of items, The Arc is dependent upon volunteers. There are many opportunities to donate your time to The Arc and make a difference in the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
