Volunteer Opportunities

Some of the creative ways volunteers have made a difference at The Arc:

  • Susan LeBoeuf teaches arts and crafts to our employment group every week.
  • Therese Dalrymple and Katie Mackey co-host a book club for our young women, which meets monthly at the East Columbia Branch Library.
  • Twenty-four volunteers from BB&T spent three afternoons in June planting flowers and shrubs, and repairing and staining the raised vegetable beds and courtyard benches at Arc headquarters.
  • Cherise Petty has spent seven years teaching Arc women about healthy relationships in a six-week  Women’s Relationship Group each spring.

Please click on the “Volunteer Opportunities” link above to see how you  can participate in The Arc of Howard County’s vibrant community of volunteers.

I love helping children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities make progress toward achieving full community life.”
