When a family member has an intellectual or developmental disability, it can be hard to know where to turn for help. Where do you find the information you need to make informed decisions? Where do you find support and sound advice?

The Arc of Howard County provides flexible family and individual support services that meet the diverse needs of individuals living with their families. The Arc also works to reduce stress on family members through information and referral on a variety of community resources for families:

• Respite Care for children and adults
• Child care and educational opportunities
• Social and recreational opportunities for family members with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Information on accessibility modifications for your home or car
• Community services available to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Information on accessing funding for services
