At The Arc of Howard County we are working every day to help children and adults with cognitive and developmental disabilities enjoy full community life - just like everyone else. That includes being listened to, knowing that their choices will be honored, spending significant portions of their day with the people they choose and in the places they choose, and working at a job of their choice that they find challenging and rewarding. This year, the organization that begin in 1961 as a volunteer parent support group will touch the lives of 2000 individuals.

In all of the programs of the Arc of Howard County, we are working to support the success and independence of children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families to be full participating members of their community who are physically, economically, and socially well in the most independent way possible.
